Ankylosing Spondylitis and Anderson lesion (Non union of Fracture) A 58 year old woman presented to us with back pain since last 1 year . She had history of fall at home followed by gradually progressive pain and weakness in legs. She needed support to stand and walk and was always in pain.Her Xray and MRI showed Ankylosed Spine with fracture at D10-D11 with Ossified ligamentum Flavum (OLF) at D8 -D9. In Patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis there is a stong tendency for bones to fracture even after a minor trauma. These fracture always go into nonunion unless fixed with pedicle screws and rods. This patient underwent Dorsal Laminectomy with pedicle screw fixation. She had significant pain releif, started on physiotherapy and discharged to home.
