L23 disc with Caudaequina syndrome - Microdiscectomy This 45 year old male from Hapur, Ghaziabad presented to us with sudden onset back pain with pain going into legs. He also had weakness in both legs and was not able to stand or walk. He also started developing urinary symptoms. His MRI showed L23 Disc herniation with central disc causing severe compression of spinal cord. He underwent Urgent Microdiscectomy with decompression of nerve roots. His pain and weakness improved immediatly after surgery and was discharged on next day.
